Western Balkans, the newest university in Albania, is officially part of the "University Tournament of Tirana, 2024", organized by the Albanian Federation of University Sports.
Western Balkans University is represented at this event in the disciplines of men's futsal and women's volleyball with students who are part of the university's football and volleyball clubs.
The futsal and volleyball teams have conducted preliminary training with their coaches, and officially played their first matches on April 3, 2024, in the premises of the "Asllan Rusi" Sports Palace.
In the match held in the men's futsal category, the match ended with a score of 3-2 in favor of the "European University of Tirana" team. While in the women's volleyball category, the match ended with a 3-2 (sets) victory for the Western Balkans University team, defeating "Epoka" University and thus taking an important step in the "University Tournament of Tirana, 2024".
In the following weeks, the teams will compete against other state and private universities until a winner is announced at the conclusion of the tournament.
