Description

Hello Reader and hopefully future Student,

My name is Gent Gjylbegu, I am almost 19 years old, and I am currently finalizing the first year of my Bachelor studies on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. My hobbies include public speaking, cooking, and hanging out with friends during my free time. So far, I have enjoyed my time at Western Balkans University.

Western Balkans University is a student-oriented university, meaning that your voice will always be heard, your needs are always respected and you as a student are an important part of the decision-making process. The Professors are always ready to help you achieve your full potential through their excellent techniques of conveying knowledge, and they give you the opportunity to part-take in many curricular projects that will help you get to know your course mates but also put the knowledge you gain from the course into practice.

Apart from all these, Western Balkans University believes that education can go beyond school or university, and therefore encourages its’ students to participate in extra-curricular activities. For instance, I am an active member of the European Youth Parliament (EYP), and Western Balkans University has allowed me to balance both my studies and remaining active in the organization by showing their constant support.

Simultaneously, Western Balkans University organizes a multitude of educational activities, which may vary from seminars with well-known local and international experts to conferences, trips, and many more. If I were to choose one of my favorite activities held in Western Balkans University, it would definitely be a seminar on the importance of mental health held a while ago, as it is a topic that is often not talked about enough in educational institutions here in Albania.

Considering all the above, I am very happy about my choice to study at Western Balkans University. For future students: I can, for sure, tell you that your journey at Western Balkans University will be nothing but a pleasant one. My one piece of advice would be to always enjoy the ride and make an effort to voice your opinions – you will definitely not be disappointed!
