Career Fair at Western Balkans University

The second edition of the Career Fair at Western Balkans University was successfully held, in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Tirana.
This event brought together 70 businesses and institutions from different sectors, who provided valuable information on internship and employment opportunities for students. The fair became a key platform for strengthening the connection between academia and the labor market. The event opened with the greetings of the Rector of Western Balkans University, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who expressed his gratitude to all participating institutions and businesses for their contribution.
Afterwards, Dr. Klodian Allajbeu, founder of American Hospitals and President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Tirana, shared with the attendees his professional journey since his years of studies, emphasizing the importance of early inclusion of young people in the labor market. Mr. Nikolin Jaka, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana, who expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation with the university to support the professional preparation of the new generation.
A special welcome address was given by Mr. Simon Charters, Director of Programs at the British Embassy, ​​who appreciated the ongoing collaboration with Western Balkans University and the initiatives that empower youth development. Closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Iris Luarasi, who emphasized that every step, no matter how small, is important on the path to professional development, encouraging students to actively benefit from the opportunities offered to them. Western Balkans University remains committed to building sustainable partnerships between academia and industry, providing real opportunities for the development of youth across the region.
