On the occasion of International Doctors’ Day, we had the honor and pleasure of organizing an open lecture with Prof. Assoc. Dr. Fatos Olldashi, a renowned neurosurgeon at the University Trauma Hospital, with the participation of our medical students.
During this inspiring session, Dr. Olldashi shared with the students his academic and professional experiences, reflecting on the challenges he encountered during his medical studies in Albania in the 1990s.
He emphasized the importance of continuing education, critical thinking, and clinical practice. He also focused on the fundamental role of doctors in society, emphasizing that gaining and maintaining the trust of patients is one of the most rewarding, but also the most challenging, aspects of the medical profession.
